Driving Laws … The citywide speed limit is 35mph unless otherwise posted.  The school zone and residential speed limit is 25mph.  Drivers are forbidden to drink alcohol or have an open container of alcoholic beverages in the passenger area.  Motorcyclists are required to wear helmets and lights must be on at all times.  Children eight and younger and under 80 pounds must be properly secured in a weight appropriate child restraint system.  Seat belts are mandatory for drivers and all passengers in the vehicle.
