Hello! My name is Carol Corey and I enjoy working with folks to help find their dream home. Whether it be your first condo, first home or that luxury estate on the lake, I will work hard for you to find your special place.
First, I was born in Atlanta and lived in Georgia through my college years. The spirit of adventure then took me to Colorado, where I lived in the mountains, learned to ski and met Craig, my future husband. During my ‘early years’ I worked in the medical and legal fields. I moved to Denver and we were married in 1980. Then on to the military where we lived in the Washington, DC area, San Antonio, Texas and Fayetteville, NC. After the military, we decided to settle in Davidson, NC. We’ve been here for 21 years and it is the perfect place for us-a small college town close to a large city. Plus the bonus of Lake Norman nearby.
My husband is in the medical field and we have two children. Our son graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and our daughter from West Virginia University. In my free time I enjoy tennis, reading, snow skiing, going to the beach, watching college and professional sports, or relaxing out on the lake.
I have 19 years of Real Estate experience in three different states. I worked in the DC area, San Antonio, and for the past eleven years, in the Lake Norman area. I enjoy all aspects of Real Estate whether it be listing and selling your home or finding that perfect new home. We’ve built a home, renovated one and bought several re-sales.
As your agent, I use a practical approach. I use my professional knowledge and my personal experience to help you with your decisions. I will listen to you and use common sense to help make your search as stress-free as possible. I want to earn your business.
I look forward to working with you and showing you what a wonderfularea and life style we have here in North Carolina. Please give me a call or send me an email at:

It was almost 7 years from when we first met Carol until we actually moved here to Lake Norman. We wanted to check out lake communities in preparation for retirement and contacted Lake Realty. Carol met us with a prepared list of homes with the parameters that we requested and the journey started. My wife and I could tell from our initial meeting that Carol had an extensive knowledge of the area and was very passionate about finding the right home for her clients. For the next few years we maintained a long distance relationship. She would email us homes that she thought we would be interested in and vice versa. If we had a question or concern she was quick to respond by a simple phone call, text, or email.
When we were able to visit, Carol would plan a list of homes for us to view in all areas of the lake. We logged many miles and hours touring and viewing these homes. Then we would return home to Virginia and we would go over all of the homes that we had viewed and the whole process would start over again until our next visit. Carol was obviously very patient and never put any pressure on us. She did a great job and we have recommended her to friends and will to others in the future. We are proud to call Carol and her husband, Craig, friends.
Carol was everything I wanted in a realtor. She made the process smooth from start to finish. Considering I was buying a house from overseas, I was worried something would fall through the cracks. Not with Carol. She was always organized and detail oriented, and her communication was great. She worked with the sellers, the lender, and closed the house all while I was overseas. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I can’t recommend her highly enough.Jake Cohen
Carol was there every step of the way. She always answered every call, text, or email quickly and with accurate information. Her professionalism, mentorship, knowledge, honesty, and hard work ethic were much respected and appreciated. I never felt that she was just trying to sell our home, but that she was a partner to answer our questions, assist in making the best decision for our family, and ensure we had an exceptional experience.Cole Wilson
