Never heard of Terrell, NC? Well that’s not surprising. It’s a small community tucked between Mooresville and Sherrills Ford NC. When your driving west from Mooresville on Highway 150 across the northern section of Lake Norman you will pass through Terrell as you head towards Sherrills Ford. Don’t blink because it’s only a 3.2 mile stretch of road on 150. Even though it’s small, it does have a decent amount of shoreline on Lake Norman, most notably Kiser Island. (See Map Below).
Kiser Island extends out into the lake creating a passage way that’s important for navigation on the lake. If your heading north by boat from the southern part of the lake you need to slip between Kiser Island and Mooresville to head to the main section of the 150 bridge and continue ‘up stream’. Heading north you will find Queen’s Landing, The Blue Parrot, Apps & Taps and the Lake Norman State Park to name a few places. If you miss the turn at Kiser Island, then you will head toward The Boat Rack marina and slanting road bridge. If you are up that way, you can check out The Landing Restaurant by going under slanting road bridge and then hanging a right to find The Landing tucked back in the cove.
